TTI Software Collection – Network Server Installation

ATTENTION! TTISI Software Collection can only be installed on Windows computers. Administrator privileges are required in order to complete the install. DO NOT install under the default ‘Program Files’ folder as you may experience some problems with the new versions of Windows. When prompted, change the installation path to C:\TTI Success Insights 8\.

Upgrade Instructions – All Users

Note: When upgrading to version 8.X, the software will be installed in its own directory and will not replace an existing 7.X directory.

  1. Prior to download, check your current release (version) by opening the ‘About’ option in the ‘Help Menu’. If you are upgrading from a 7.X release, run your existing software and do a backup of your database. (Select Backup Database from the Utilities menu.)
  2. Download the TTI Software Collection installation program to your computer by clicking the link below and selecting the Save option. Do not select the Open option.
  3. After downloading the file to your hard drive, double-click on the file to start the installation. When installing SI8 (Success Insights, release 8.x) to a network server, the SI8 installation path will need to be modified. On screen three of the installation procedure, modify the installation path by removing ‘Program Files’ from the path. The final installation path will be: ‘C:\TTI Software Collection’. Follow the instructions on your screen to complete the installation.
  4. Run the Software Collection and verify that it is the current version in the About Box.

If you are upgrading from release 8.00.1242 or higher, you have completed the process.

If You Are Upgrading from Release 7.X:

  1. Restore the backup database you created in step 1 to your new software. (Select Restore Database from the Utilities menu, then choose the directory of the backup files. Select ‘OK’.)
  2. From the Utilities Menu, select ‘Download Data from IDS’.
    • Select the ‘Setup’ tab in the Download Data window.
    • Enter your IDS login ID (PSxxxx) and login password.
    • Click ‘Add Account’ (your PSxxxx) & sub-accounts should now be displayed in the ‘Accounts’ window.
    • Click the ‘Download’ tab and then click the ‘Download Data’ button at the bottom-left.
    • Your IDS data will now be downloaded to your version 8.0 database.
    • Next time you want to download your IDS data, simply select ‘Download Data from IDS’ from the Utilities Menu and then click the ‘Download Data’ button.

If You Are Upgrading from Release 8.0 through 8.00.1241:

    1. Restore the backup database you created in step 1 (from your 7.x release) to your new software using the option: If Report Exists, update = Always.
      • Select Restore Database from the Utilities menu, choose the directory of the backup files and click ‘OK’.
      • In the ‘Import records’ window, select: If Report Exists, Update = Always.
      • It is very important that you choose this option to replace the existing reports. This must be checked if you are upgrading from TTI Software Collection release 8.0 through 8.00.1241.
    2. From the Utilities Menu, select ‘Download Data from IDS’.
      • Click the ‘Setup’ tab in the Download Data window.
      • Select the ‘Always’ option from the ‘If reports exists’ drop down menu.
      • Select the ‘Download’ tab.
      • Highlight all of the accounts in the ‘Accounts’ window.
      • Right click on the list of response links to the right and select ‘Reset All Dates’.
      • Click the ‘Download Data’ button at the bottom-left.
      • Your IDS data will now be downloaded to your version 8.0 database.
      • Next time you want to download your IDS data, simply select ‘Download Data from IDS’ from the Utilities Menu and then click the ‘Download Data’ button.
